Street art
Daniel Sarabia explains “Street art”.
Urban art or also known as street art, is a post-graffiti movement that refers to all street art, such as murals, graffiti, posters, stickers, stencils, among others.
The best-known works of art are made on walls, but lately there has been a tendency to paint roads, sports fields, pedestrian crossings and bike paths; which helps people to easily identify these spaces; become a point of reference, appropriate them, live an art, feel safer, since they are visible with their colors and shapes that can also generate a feeling of happiness.
Because it is an art on the floor, it is made with epoxy paint; a high-quality and resistant epoxy resin-based coating, ideal for use in areas where vehicles and a large number of people pass through, plus it is also non-slip, so they do not require much maintenance.
The roads and bike paths that have this type of art are less likely to be painted over or mistreated, since transport pass through them, as is the case of the Paso Seguro in the Faculty of International Studies of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, It was a collaboration with the Mobility Table of Culiacán, the goverment, IMPLAN and, with the help of the workforce of architecture students.
On the other hand, the art piece in the Skatepark in Culiacán, is one of my favorites, since I did it between 2 and 3 months. There are people who think that these interventions in public space are vandalism, but there are also others who consider them works of art.
The range of colors that I use the most are the primary ones and the combination of these with neutral colors. Drawings range from geometric shapes to animals such as the iguana at the skatepark. Street art on roads is a trend that several cities around the world are using as part of urban rehabilitation.
