Learn with Manuel Lara about species in his article “Animal Sanctuaries”.
The English word Landscape refers to any extension of land that can be appreciated from a site, even being able to be considered both a natural and urban spectacle (Marshall, 2016). In this sense, there are landscapes in which the fauna contributes to
this spectacle or even the stars, as in the monarch butterfly sanctuaries, firefly sanctuaries, the Sótano de las Golondrinas de San Luis Potosí (in reality, they are swifts), the beaches with bioluminescence or the sighting points of gray whale or whale shark. Because of their beauty, these sites attract numerous tourists, and many of them are currently protected.
