Due to the activities of human beings, several species have been extinct and many others are endangered;even complete ecosystems have their delicate balance altered or dramatically reduced their surface because of devastation. The nature reserves were created to preserve ecosystems, species and natural resources, at the same time promoting activities such as ecotourism, carrying out programs for the reproduction of endangered species, as well as generating opportunities for research and education.

Black Mangrove-Avicennia germinans

Species in Threat. It is in danger of disappearing in the short or medium term. The activities of the human being are the main threat to the mangroves.
