Explore the Jardines del Claustro Santa Fe with 501 Durán Arquitectos, a project that arose from the need for new outdoor event spaces in one of the most important venues in León, Guanajuato.

The Gardens of the Santa Fe Cloister emerged from the need for outdoor event spaces during the pandemic. They are located within one of the most important event venues in the city of León, Guanajuato, which has been using the central courtyard of the hacienda as its main space for nearly 15 years.

The architectural-landscape project originated from a plan to create two outdoor spaces: the “Mystical Garden” and the “Holistic Garden”, designed for events with a maximum of 150 guests, and the Carlota Orchard, which can accommodate up to 1,300 guests. The gardens are connected by a solemn/ecumenical circular space, framed by large stones, which serves as a distribution node and is also used for wedding ceremonies.

To reach the Carlota Orchard, it is necessary to pass through the sculpture with three pointed arches, which require the guest to yield to their companion in a gesture of respect before arriving at the grand flower garden that frames the entrance to the venue with the largest capacity.

The services are presented as a simple stone volume from the site, which serves as a portico, framing the entrances with pointed arches from which a vine hangs, creating the impression that they have been there for hundreds of years.
