Vegetation refuges

In Vegetation refuges, Armando Maravilla and Felipe Arath Macías propose the strategic use of native vegetation to mitigate the city’s visual and acoustic noise, thereby helping to restore calm and well-being in the midst of the urban environment

In the midst of the city’s chaotic rhythm, finding a moment of relief becomes a necessity. Parks and gardens offer respite from the daily rush, helping to reduce stress and restore attention. Some plant species create green screens that visually and acoustically isolate, generating sheltered atmospheres. These plants make it possible to experience an urban oasis, even within heavily trafficked spaces.
