Outdoor decks

A deck is a terrace made of natural wood or wood composed by recycled plastic materials, which currently forms an essential part of outdoor spaces, as it provides a support to practice outdoor activities.

Furthermore, its color and texture, generates warmth and creates a harmonious environment.

It is recommended to use treated hardwoods for outdoor exposure.

Lumber mainly originate in the southeast of Mexico, center of South America and some parts of Asia.

The current trend in decks is to preserve the natural look of wood, in order to appreciate the wood grain and the unique color that each species of this material provides.

Woods most commonly used in tropical zones of Mexico are the 1.Pucte (Bucida buceras), 2.Teca (Tectona grandis), 3.Tzalam (Lysiloma latisiliquum) and 4.Zapote (Manilkara zapota).

This is due to its variety in color, grain, hardness and environmental resistance.
