As designers of natural spaces, we landscape architects have the important task of promoting in the landscape projects spaces that we call “inclusive playgrounds”, which are those that include equipment that contemplates the needs of children and adults with different abilities.

The origin of playground equipment is uncertain. However, in the literature of Ancient Greece, we can find that both the swing and the seesaw were included in the rituals that honored the god Dionysus.
