Cities grow all over the world. In 2017, more than 50% of the world’s population first lived in cities and it is estimated that by 2050 the percentage will have increased to 70%.

During the isolation derived from the current pandemic, indoor plants have become more relevant, especially in cities where yards or gardens are hardly found.

Many species of animals move away from areas with human presence or activity and, therefore, as human populations have grown, many native species have been displaced.
