Located in the Yazhou District of Sanya, Hainan Province, the site borders the coastline of Yazhou Bay and connects to the central park of the Sanya Deep-Sea Science and Technology City. The project covers 1.2 hectares<\/strong> and aims to create a child-friendly urban park<\/strong> that combines ecological preservation<\/strong> with everyday functionality<\/strong>, becoming a key node<\/strong> within the region\u2019s green infrastructure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The design preserves the site\u2019s natural character<\/strong>, including wetland vegetation<\/strong>, wild grasses<\/strong>, and ecological shorelines<\/strong>. Under the concept of a \u201cfluid boundary with nature,\u201d<\/strong> the project integrates free-form shapes<\/strong> and curved circulations<\/strong> to dissolve spatial edges and encourage immersive experiences<\/strong> within the park.<\/p>\n

The landscape strategy<\/strong> focuses on three aspects: ecology<\/strong>, age inclusivity<\/strong>, and artistic expression<\/strong>. Green infrastructure<\/strong> is implemented through wetland restoration<\/strong>, stormwater infiltration systems<\/strong>, and native planting<\/strong>. Permeable pavements<\/strong> and undulating topography<\/strong> reduce hard surfaces and improve user comfort. Primary paths<\/strong> and rest areas<\/strong> are set at appropriate elevations to remain usable during periods of high tide<\/strong>, introducing flexibility<\/strong> in both spatial and ecological performance.<\/p>\n

Spatially, the park is divided into several experiential zones<\/strong> tailored to different age groups<\/strong>. Inspired by islands<\/strong> and the movement of tides<\/strong>, the sculpted terrain forms mounds<\/strong> and playful reliefs<\/strong> that subtly guide the user\u2019s journey. Boundaries<\/strong> between functions are softened through topographic transitions<\/strong>, allowing views<\/strong>, rhythms<\/strong>, and atmospheres<\/strong> to change as visitors move through the site. The result is a dynamic yet grounded public space<\/strong> that fosters interaction between community life and natural systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
