One of the key figures in this connection is Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Velasco, who, in his paintings, <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">depicts ash trees, willows, and poplars<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, perfectly capturing the natural landscape of pre-revolutionary and revolutionary Mexico. His work reflects the temporal cycles of the Valley of Mexico: the dry and rainy seasons.
