From the city of San Luis Potosi, I decided to embark on a trip to the Huasteca Potosina, heading to the impressive waterfalls of Puente de Dios in Tamasopo. Leaving early from the San Luis Potosi-Rioverde highway, the urban landscape soon gave way to a winding route into the mountains, where each curve revealed a new panorama.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the way to the town of Santa Catarina, while crossing a place called Cerro de los caballos, I was fortunate to witness a rare natural phenomenon known as \u201cSea of Clouds\u201d which generated a magical spectacle that occurs when a layer of clouds covers the mountains creating the illusion of a vast white ocean where the peaks emerged from the clouds like islands.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon arriving in the city of Rioverde, the weather began to envelop me with the characteristic nuances of the Huasteca Potosina, a region known for its humid and warm climate during most of the year. Continuing my trip I arrived at Tamasopo where I continued towards my main destination which was a little further away going deeper into the mountains.<\/span><\/p>\n

I started my tour by taking a hiking route to reach the emblematic Bridge of God or \u201cPuente de Dios\u201d. Although there was a certain time to arrive, I could not help but stay longer than usual since the mountainous landscape not only provided an impressive setting from the beginning, but also along the way unique landscapes were generated where each corner offered a different experience: shaded shelters under leafy trees, or sunny areas where the path of crystalline water was illuminated, creating that blue landscape characteristic of the waterfalls of the Huasteca Potosina.<\/span><\/p>\n

As I approached my destination the intense sound of the waterfalls resounded among the dense vegetation and the mountainous landscape giving me an unforgettable welcome. I felt how the fresh and humid air enveloped me while I contemplated the open semi cenote formed by natural rock (Karstica). At the same time, the sun’s rays filtered mysteriously through the rocky walls and dense vegetation of this body of water, illuminating the bottom and highlighting the turquoise hue of the waters coming from various springs located in the Sierra de Tamasopo, shaping \u201cLa Poza Azul.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Curious to see these sites, I decided to follow a cobblestone road that blended perfectly with the mountain, finding on my ascent \u201cEl Nacimiento\u201d, \u201cLos Chorritos\u201d and \u201cLas Playitas\u201d, bodies of crystalline water that blended harmoniously with the surrounding majestic mountains, thus generating the \u201cPuente de Dios\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was also able to perceive the realization of various ecotourism activities that connected visitors with the environment, such as mountain rappel, viewpoints, mountain hiking, panga ride, waterfall jumps, zip line, among others; at the beginning of the tour I was offered a guide, however, I also had the option to do it on my own.<\/span><\/p>\n

This journey was not only an exciting experience but also an invaluable lesson on how to integrate with the natural elements without significantly altering their essence. I realized that urban design can be inspired by natural places to create public spaces harmonized with their original environment. This invites the user to experience unique sensations combined with these natural elements.<\/span><\/p>\n
