{"id":2613,"date":"2018-11-27T12:09:03","date_gmt":"2018-11-27T18:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.landuum.com\/?p=2613"},"modified":"2018-11-28T09:44:28","modified_gmt":"2018-11-28T15:44:28","slug":"aromatic-herbs-at-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.landuum.com\/en\/the-lab\/aromatic-herbs-at-home\/","title":{"rendered":"Aromatic herbs at home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Landuum invites you to plant an aromatic herbs garden on floating shelves; they are aesthetic and easy to install.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>AROMATIC HERBS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aromatic herbs are those that generate a pleasant smell, either mild or intense.<\/p>\n<p>Home growing these herbs has become a common practice because, besides aromatizing the environment and being easy to reproduce (as long as they have good lighting and a good degree of humidity), they have the property of flavoring or dressing food when used as condiment in cooking meals.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In addition, several species have medicinal properties.<\/p>\n<p>Here are five reasons why to plant aromatic herbs at home:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Price.<\/b> Having at hand cilantro, rosemary, epazote, or chives will prevent you spending on buying them in market stores.<\/li>\n<li><b>Time-saver.<\/b> It will save you time and going to the supermarket or local market to acquire them.<\/li>\n<li><b>Decor.<\/b> They will bring a fresh, welcoming and natural touch to your living room, kitchen or the place where you put them.<\/li>\n<li><b>Healthier.<\/b> When growing them at home you will be certain that they are free of contaminants and pesticides.<\/li>\n<li><b>Insect repellent. <\/b>Aromatic herbs such as basil to repel insects like flies and mosquitoes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Moreover, the incomparable taste of natural ingredients freshly harvested and the personal satisfaction that involves knowing that you have cultivated the plant yourself, is priceless. Regular pruning of these plants is necessary to promote flowering, which is where the aroma is.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>As the soil is naturally compacted by the impact of water, it is important to loosen the soil to aerate it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To prevent diseases in the substrate you can use chamomile tea leaves spreading them around the pots.
